Portland is known as the heart of the craft coffee roasting world, with so many small roasters, coffee lovers that we are, we struggle to taste them all. Our tour hits both the well-known highlights and some of the secrets of the chocolate scene, with a few surprises we don't want to give away. The tour in total is about 2.0 miles (3.5km), mostly flat walking, with tastings of chocolate and coffee — just the right amount so you'll have the opportunity to truly savor every sip and bite! Peter is a bit of a mad scientist when it comes to coffee, and his roastery is his lab. Since he roasts his coffee in small batches, his roastery itself is little—but it’s all the space he needs to air roast something special… While at the roastery we’re going to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look into some of the most interesting and talented artist studios at The Beaumont Studios. After we’ll head outside to wind our way through the backroads of Mount Pleasant to enjoy spectacular street art murals that sprawl throughout. Each mural has it’s story & each story has it’s author, & we’ll do our best to leave you with that sense of connection. The tour is an easy walk outside, and we’ll end at a great location with easy access to great eats and more coffee if you so desire.

The incense in this village is particularly lovely and exceptional because it is red and yellow, the auspicious colors of the East. With the help of our roaster guide you will learn how coffee is processed and roasted and the impacts on flavors. As one of the largest certified Organic coffee Farm in Kona we do all our roast in house. You will participate in 2 of our production roast and will be able to run the second one yourself with the elp of our roaster.

Portland is justly famous for both its craft roasted coffee and its doughy sweets — ride and explore in a 6-8 mile bike tour. 10 a.m. daily. Bike, helmet, one doughnut and one coffee included! At our shop at 833 SE Main Street #121, we are also in the literal center of Portland’s craft coffee roasting icons (three of the city’s best roasters surround our block). We'll begin with coffee, tea or hot cocoa at a shop that roasts its own beans, and sample some single-origin coffee so we'll be ready for lots of sweets to come. The itinerary will vary based on doughnut shop hours, we'll typically introduce you first to a hidden gem of a shop — the one locals prefer — then head to the another favorite shop (famous for their apple fritters!) Portland’s doughnut scene isn’t just about eating pastries; it’s also about the culture that makes it possible. Did you know the doughnut-loving Homer Simpson was based off a Portlander? Which came first, the Homer doughnut or the city’s doughnut boom?

This tour explores two of (Naarm) Melbourne’s most characteristic and colourful inner-city neighbourhoods.
