First we start at the city center at 11:00AM.
I’ll first set up a second tuk-tuk to deliver your bags to the Family Batcave Homestay. We’re also traveling to Battambang to see the attractions.
We are going to visit the villages and see how they produce local products such as sticky rice, bamboo, and fish past the market. Rice paper, banana slices, and rice wine for the last local handmade.
Also, we can get a chance to learn more about the Khmer Rouge when we visit the Well of Shadows (in Wat Samrong Knong), a monument to honor the people killed during the war.
The last sight on the north side is Wat Ekphnom temple and you visit about one hour. followed by a return to the city and learn about colonial buildings such as Battambang provincial hall and city and get to know about why’s Battambang city!
Continue to go see a Buddhist temple or pagoda and learn about the Khmer Buddhist tradition. and go to take some photos from the suspension bridge.
After, we will visit a Muslim village where the Cham and Javanese ethnicities are feeding grasshoppers. and learn their history and where they came from.
We will go to see the original bamboo train at Osrolao Village. We will be here for about an hour if you ride the bamboo train.
We can see miniature old train stalls. Enjoy the scenery from the rice fields, and walk around the village for 20 minutes before returning on the bamboo train. We can have lunch in the village after riding the bamboo train if time allows.
Phnom Sampov is best visited in the evening when the sun is setting, providing the most spectacular view of the mountain and a beautiful landscape and going to see killing cave.
While the sun is sitting in the secret bat cave, you can see them fly out from behind you and past you as you enjoy the sunset. We will finish this trip at evening time and take you to the homestay.
We will take you to stay overnight at the Family Batcave Homestay, learn about the villagers’ way of life, see the rice fields, and talk with the hosts and villagers.
Experience staying in a Khmer home in the countryside, listening to the sound of the croaking frogs at night.
After one night at homestay, we will transfer you back to the city and drop you off.
