Itinerary

Day 1: Siem Reap – Preah Vihear

Stop At: Preah Vihear Temple, Cambodia
In the morning, you will start your journey at Anlong Veng. This is an idyllic town located 125 km north of Siem Reap and near the Thai border. Here, you will have an opportunity to visit the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge as well as the grave of Pol Pot, the final resting place of the leader of Khmer Rouge.
Afterward, continue your trip to Preah Vihear, where possesses the famous Preah Vihear temple. Upon arrival, you will check-in the most luxurious resort in the province. Enjoy some relaxing moment with full facilities that this accommodation can offer you. Overnight at the resort in Preah Vihear.

Day 2: Preah Vihear – Kampong Thom (Dream Sunrise)

Stop At: Kampong Thom, Kampong Thom, Kampong Thom Province
Early this morning, you will leave the hotel and arrive at the Preah Vihear temple. Enjoy your breakfast while witnessing the stunning sunrise in this area before spend your time discovering the temple.
Situated at the top of Damrek Mountains, the Preah Vihear temple has the most outstanding setting with ancient Khmer architectural style and a view for many kilometers across a plain. This sacred temple was also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. Take the chance and take some nice photos in the temple followed by returning to your resort for lunch.
After that, head to Kampong Thom, a charming town on the banks of the Stung Saen River. There will be a few stops along the way for you to have a rest. In Kampong Thom, check into the hotel and take your time to enjoy the evening at your own leisure.

Day 3: Kampong Thom – Kampong Cham (Temples in the jungle)

Stop At: Kampong Cham, Kampong Cham, Kampong Cham Province
After breakfast, you will have a ride (about an hour) to the famous Sambor Prei Kuk in Kampong Thom, another UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cambodia. With a long-lasting history dating back from the 6th century and a special location in the forests, the temple is considered the oldest complex in this Southeast Asian country.
Upon arrival, you can rent a bike from the local inhabitants to explore the Sambor Prei Kuk. Your guide will lead you to the narrow pathways through the forest to visit the three main temples. After that, stopover a local picnic spot by the river to have your lunch.
Afterward, turn back to Kampong and head to Kampong Cham. You will visit Hancey pagoda, a picturesque pagoda built on a hill with a breathtaking view overlooking the Mekong River before transfer to your hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kampong Cham.

Day 4: Kampong Cham – Phnom Penh

Stop At: Phnom Penh, Phnom Penh
Today, take your time to get to know the locals and experience their daily life. After that, leave the island and have a horse-cart ride along the Mekong River. On the way, you will have a chance to stop to visit a local market where you can try regional specialties or buy some crafts for souvenirs. In the afternoon, you will reach Phnom Penh – the Cambodian capital.
