Day 01: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat full day tour

Experience the finest attractions in Angkor Archaeological Park, we will pick-up from your hotel at 8 AM. First stop at the Ticket Office where you’ll pay (at your own account) and get your Angkor Pass. After that, we will head to the fortified city of Angkor Thom, which covers a sprawling area of 6 square miles (10 km sq). Within these walls was where the Khmer king lived, together with his kin, military officers, palace officials and priests. Enter from the monumental South Gate over a picturesque causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga, a deity in the form of a snake.

Within the complex is the mysterious Bayon temple, dubbed as the Temple of Smiling Faces. We shall continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. We then explore Ta Prohm, where you will surely get enchanted with the sight of the ruins taken over by tree roots, a demonstration of the awesome power of nature. We will complete the day with a visit to Angkor Wat, one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Southeast Asia and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Be awed with Angkor Wat’s colossal structures and meticulous architecture. Learn from our experienced guides how the Angkor Wat represents the center of Khmer civilization and how the exceptional Khmer Empire prospered between the 9th and 13th centuries, during which time the Angkor Wat was built. Enjoy beautiful sunset at Angkor Wat.

Day 02: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Banteay Samre

Pick you up at 8 AM from your hotel and we will then drive for about an hour to the Jewel of Khmer art, the Banteay Srei temple. Setting apart from the rest of the Angkor temples are its temples built with pinkish sandstone, hence its name translating to “Citadel of Women”. The amazing state of preservation of the temple’s elaborate carvings of ancient Hindu tales will give you a real blast from the past experience. In the afternoon, we will visit Banteay Samre, Pre Rup Temple and Preah Khan temples.

The guide pick you up at your hotel at 8 am. We’ll then drive about 45-minutes to the countryside en route to the Tonle Sap quay. Upon arrival at the quay, we will board a local boat for a 1.5 hours ride to the Lake. Along the way, we will pass through Kompong Phluk, set along the floodplains of Tonle Sap.

From February to July covering the dry season, you can walk through the village of Kompong Phluk. In the rainy season, from August to January, the village gets flooded and during this time, the tour will involve a boat ride through the village.
