This short, yet very romantic excursion will start at 4.30 pm, where we will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap, accompanied by an English speaking guide. A short drive will bring you to the embarkation point at Prasat Chrung for boarding your own gondola.

Khmer people have been known as skilled boat makers throughout history and several boats, including the boats used by the navy in a war to win a victory cover Cham in the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Twenty-nine of the ancient boat sculptures in the Bayon temple are seen, demonstrating the courage of navy in the King Jayavarman VII’s period. The archaeologists illustrate that the ancient Khmer boats and Cham boats carved in the wall of Bayon temple are the victories of King Jayavarman VII’s navy force over Cham’s navy in the war after 1177 A.D. One of these types of boats has been carefully constructed to resemble the fine artwork done in the past.
