This is a 2-Day private tour to visit some of the stunning sites in Siem Reap. On the First, we will come to Angkor Wat early in the morning to see a beautiful sunrise at the temple. It is a worth seeing because Angkor Wat is the world biggest religious monument with a very impressive design. Next, we continue to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, and Bayon temple with 216 faces on the 54 towers. We also visit nearby temples such as Baphoun, the Royal Palace and Preah Palilay temple. Then, we will visit Ta Prohm or tomb Raider temple.

On the Second day, we will explore the hidden temple of Koh Ker complex. We’ll visit Prasat Pram, Neang Kmao, Koh Ker, Prasat Lingas, and Kror Chab. After that, We’ll also stop to see Kampong Phluk, a unique floating village on the Tonle Sap lake

Itinerary

Day 1: Angkor Wat Small Circuit

Stop At: Angkor Wat, Sangkat Nokor Thum, Siem Reap Cambodia
On Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour, we’ll come and pick you up early before breakfast. We’ll bring you to the best spot to see the sunrise of Angkor Wat temple. After this wonderful start to the day, we’ll then explore Angkor Wat. We’ll explain the history of the temple and the most important and interesting carvings, bas-reliefs, and more.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Angkor Thom South Gate, National Road #6 Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap 17252 Cambodia
We’ll then stop the tour for breakfast. After eating, we’ll continue to the ancient city called Angkor Thom. Here we will enter by one of the magnificent city gates where you will see a row of devas and asuras. This is a reference to the Churning of the Sea of Milk.

Stop At: Bayon Temple, Angkor Thom, Siem Reap Cambodia
The tour will then continue with Bayon temple. This temple sits in the centre of Angkor Thom. There are 216 faces on the towers. These faces are thought to be that of King Jayavarman VII. We’ll also explore other temples in Angkor Thom such as Bayphuon, The Royal Palace, and Palalai temple.

Stop At: Ta Prohm, National Road #6 Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap 17252 Cambodia
Ta Prohm temple is the final temple of the tour. It’s the temple which was used in the backdrop of the Tomb Raider movie starring Angelina Jolie. Originally, Ta Prohm was built as a Buddhist monastery and university. We’ll then finish the tour and take you back to your hotel around midday.

In the evening, we recommend that you enjoy a meal at Por Cuisine where you can enjoy a fine meal and catch a traditional dance show at the same time.

Day 2: Koh Ker and Kampong Phluk

Stop At: Koh Ker Temple, RN64 – 2km south KOH KER site entrance and Srayang 100 Km North of Siem Reap Cambodia
On the second day, we can get away from the crowds by driving two hours to the northern part of Cambodia to visit the best hidden jungle temple where it hasn’t been renovated yet. This Khmer Rouge stronghold at Koh Ker was once inaccessible to tourists and heavily looted by thieves. However, it’s worth the long trip from Siem Reap to explore the remote temple where you’ll explore Linga Pura City.

Stop At: Kampong Phluk Floating Village, Siem Reap Cambodia
We’ll also stop to see Kampong Phluk, a unique floating village on the Tonle Sap lake. Stilt houses are built very high to prevent from the flood of Tonle Sap. The community consists of 3000 villagers depend on fishing and tourism for survive. In dry seasons (November to June), travelers can take a boat ride to the village and take a walking tour, but in rainy season (June to October) only boats can access to the village. It is very exciting to see mangrove trees, especially taking a small rowing boat into the forest.
Then it’s back to Siem Reap in time for dinner. In the evening we recommend that you visit the Phare Cambodian Circus.
