Stop At: Tonle Sap Lake, Lower Mekong Basin Cambodia

Our expert lake guide will meet you in your hotel or guesthouse foyer/reception area and look after you the whole way, we proceed via our air conditioned car to the floating villages dock area where our traditional long tail riverboat will be waiting,on route, we will have a quick stop at the local lotus farm,(The lotus flower is very important flower to the local Khmers) our guide will explain the importance of this flower and the many different uses it has,also this farm is a very beautiful place and a great place to take some awesome photos, we will than hop onto our boat for the cruise into the river systems and floating villages, here we will have a quick stop at the educational and very interesting croc/fish farm which is part of the floating village,we also pass by many homes,shops,schools churches,police stations,basketball courts and much more all floating,we will than dock with our Queen Tara Riverboat for lunch and drinks,before cruising over the great lake itself .

After we have visited the floating villages and crossed the great lake,we enter a world that time seems to have forgotten, our special designed long tail flat bottomed riverboat comes into its own as we proceed down the narrow rivers from the lake,and than into the flooded forests, its a very quite place,a place where is very cool and peaceful,depending on the current water levels will depend on how we actual enter this forest,at times we use smaller row boats and at time a gentle stroll, but whatever the time of year you will be amazed at the sights and sounds, after the flooded forests we cruise into the actual town itself, some 3000 local fishing families call this home,and our guide(born in this village) know the area well, a visit to the monks training school, the huge and impressive pergola and enter and be amazed at the extensive art work,on the walls and ceilings, cruise or walk down the main street of Kompong Phluk, and see how the locals live and work in such a magical place.
