Itinerary

Stop At: Tonle Sap Lake, Lower Mekong Basin Cambodia

From the moment you step onto our boats we will enter a world time seems to have forgotten, the first village is for most of the year, cut off by high water levels, making only boat travel available, the homes some 10 meters above you,are built on stilts to allow dry living all year round,of course villages going to the pergola, shops, schools ect have to use there smaller boats, our boats for this adventure have been designed especially for these villages and indeed the lake itself, they have flat bottomed hauls and are double hauled so can run aground without any damage, this allows us the ability to navigate up close and personable to the many rivers and of course the famous flooded forests that abound the lake, the crossing of the lake itself is an awesome way to see the local fisherman go about there daily lives, once we have crossed the Great Tonle Sap lake we enter another totally different floating fishing village, and dock with our Tara Riverboat for an amazing sunset
