At 8 am your guide and driver will collect you by vintage Jeep, then you will depart from Siem Reap for the Cambodian countryside.  We will be out amongst the rice fields and rural villages with traditional Cambodian stilted houses. After 90 minutes or so we will arrive at the ticket office at the mountain (entrance included). Then we will make the steep climb up the mountain for a further 30 minutes.

We will visit the huge reclining Buddha, an impressive site and a highlight of the day. Another highlight is Kabal Spean a spectacularly carved riverbed known in English as the River of a Thousand Lingas’.

We will stop for tasty local lunch and then check out 2 of the most impressive waterfalls in Cambodia.  At the base of the falls is a large pool where we can go for a refreshing swim. There are a number of interesting Khmer temple sites to check out during the day.

Later in the afternoon, we will head back by taking the outback dirt paths and might even witness dense jungles and more of the stunning rural countryside. We will arrive back at your hotel between 4.30 and 5 pm that afternoon.
