Escape the tourist trail for a scenic sojourn in the Cambodian countryside on this easy 4.5-hour bike excursion from Siem Reap. Wind your way down dirt tracks and hidden trails on an 18-mile (30-km) circuit through rural villages, rice paddies, and sugar plantations. Stop along the way to meet locals, sample typical Cambodian snacks, and observe traditional craftsmanship like basket weaving. Next, we head to the West Baray, a man-made lake dating back to Angkorian times. Here, we will ride along the banks, watching fishermen go about their day while birds peacefully fly above them.
