Get out of town and see the rural side of Siem Reap on this 1-day adventure. Cycle through the jungle, rice paddies and experience the rich culture of Cambodia.
This adventure incorporates a bit of everything, from stunning views of the landscape, exploring historic sites to understanding the local way of life. This tour rides out into the villages outside of Siem Reap town, along with off the beaten tracks to various destinations.
The stops will include a Buddhist temple, locally run businesses, the West Baray water reservoir and many more. You will experience the life of local Cambodians, as we stop for cold drinks or for questions along the way. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant in the village, where you can experiment home cooked food. Before returning back to the town, we will stop to witness traditional basket weaving as well as the production of local rice wine.

Gathering at Siem Reaper Office
You will meet our guide early morning at Siem Reaper office and be fitted with a mountain bike. Then the ride begins! We will start to escape the busy roads and cycle down the narrow dirt tracks, heading west.
Cambodian Buddism Study
The first stop is the Buddhist temple, where you can spend time admiring the features and understand its significance to the community. You will explore the area, be taking in the incense, the elaborate scenery of the temple and monks.
Experience local activity and ride around Best Baray
You will continue to ride to visit Khmer noodle making and bamboo sticky rice cake at the local traditional houses. Make sure to try the local snacks! The next stop will be West Baray. At noon, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, providing the opportunity to try the delicious Cambodian cuisine.
Visiting Cultural Village of Siem Reap
After this relaxing setting, we will start to head back, riding through more villages. This time, we will stop to learn about basket weaving which is a unique handicraft in the villages. Lastly, we will end up at a local rice wine distillery, where you can taste different rice wine infusions and learn its story. You can expect to return back to town around 4 pm.
