We start our day visiting a wonderful small family bakery in a local settlement for homemade bread and tarts for our picnic on Gold Rock Beach. On our way out to the East End we will also tour the open air Farmer's Market in the Freeport area as well as an optional stop at the Port Lucaya Marketplace for any souvenir shopping you might wish to do. As the Garden of the Groves is on our way, this is also an optional stop for those who might want to tour the gardens. Next we visit the Lucayan National Park which has one of the longest explored and chartered underwater cave systems in the world. We will tour both caves: Ben's Cave and Burial Mound. You will enjoy a scrumptious picnic lunch on the spectacular Gold Rock Beach where you can swim in crystal clear turquoise waters or go beachcombing. After lunch, we will visit High Rock, home of the famous Lighthouse Chapel. Our last stop will be to Bishop's where you can enjoy a cool tropical local drink or an ice cold Sands!!!

Horton plains or Mahaeliya Tenna in Sinhalese is the great plains of the central hills of Sri Lanka, located approximately 30 km from the town of Nuwara Eliya better known for its cooler climate. The starting point is marked by a gate and a little pond and further up you’ll end up in a resting station before you start the trek, 10 km of it. A little climb on a cobblestone path will take you to the fork and taking the left here would be less strenuous on the way back, jumping or climbing short hops down from boulder to boulder on this route while listening to the birds and wind through the trees is magical, once you reach the worlds end you’ll experience the cloud forest & be ready for the occasional drench as well. You’ll need a bit of patience to wait for the clouds to part and show you the great vista of the valley spreading for miles below. On a clear day, you might even spot the ocean across the southern part of Sri Lanka.

Nature Lovers Should Not Miss Out! You will get a bird’s-eye view of the garden from the canopy walk which is 400 meters long and 20 meters high at Queen Sirikit Botanic garden.
