Ice Fishing on the fjord, starts at the pick-up point in Tromsø. From there we will drive you to the spot and walk down to the frozen sea. On this trip you will get a unique opportunity to catch your own fish. After the fishing trip we will drive to the basecamp and prepare the Fish in Norwegian style. If we catch any fish you will learn how to prepare and cook it. There will be told local stories and you can relax in the middle of the arctic wilderness. . When you have learned about our local history and are well rested, we will drive you back to the pick-up point i Tromsø.

We will be ice fishing for stocked Rainbow Trout on one of the local lakes right here in Whistler. The fish range between 8 & 14 inches in length but if you are lucky there is the "chance" of hooking an 18 + inch trout. This is a great experience for those new to ice fishing. I will set up a large tent-like ice fishing shelter which will have a heater inside to keep you nice and toasty. We also put you in a pair of insulated winter boots with ice cleats for warmth & safety. If it's a nice day you can move around the lake a lot more. This way, you can take in all the beautiful scenery the area has to offer which includes Whistler and Blackcomb mountain in the background. There is a good chance we will have the lake all to ourselves. It's the perfect getaway when you need a break from skiing and want some quiet time. This is truly a Canadian experience that you must cross off your bucket list

Ice Fishing in comfort! Guests will learn about traditional ice fishing methods and lore, then will participate in a net pull. Guest will also learn how the net is set. Guest will see a live fish fillet then the chef will cook a delicious fish fry lunch right on top of the ice. Guest will also have opportunity to try out snowshoeing. Individual guest can choose to upgrade the experience to include jig fishing on their own inside a warm cabin.

This tour allows you to experience Lapland nature at its best with two local activities combined – snowshoeing through the forests and ice-fishing on an immense frozen lake.  On all our excursions, our groups are limited to 8 travellers maximum. It is very important for us to provide you with the best experience possible, and avoid mass tourism. How to catch fish when it’s hiding under a one-meter layer of ice? You will learn that and much more, as we take you ice fishing on a frozen lake amidst beautiful winter scenery. This experience starts at our meeting point in Levi to get all the equipment for ice fishing. After, we travel around 20 minutes to reach the ice-covered lake. Then it is all about fishing! We walk on top of the lake on a thick layer of ice and find the best spots for the day. The main activity is of course ice fishing itself, but the frozen lake offers also an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos. We will also set up a campfire and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and if there is big enough catch, we can fry the fish too!

On this safari we will snowmobile to local lake through snowy forest and snow covered hills. When we reach our secret fishing place your guide will teach you all the elements to be a successful fisherman, like locals do. If you are lucky, you might catch a pike, a perch, or even a trout. While you are fishing your guide will prepare a campfire and you can enjoy a tasty snack by the fireplace. Coffee or tea comes along.

We will travel 20 minutes from Rovaniemi by minivan and take a short walk to reach the lake. The location is our own private place away from the crowds in the middle of the peaceful nature. The main activity is of course fishing itself, but the frozen lake also offers an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos. Once we reach the lake, we will teach you the basics of ice fishing and enjoy a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing. This unique Alaskan experience is the only one of its kind offered in the Anchorage area.  Get out and enjoy the beauty of Alaska!  On a clear day we'll see as many as four mountain ranges in Southcentral Alaska, We'll spend our time on a small frozen lake in the Anchorage area.  Using the latest electric ice auger, guests can help drill through anywhere between 6 inches to 3 feet thick ice.  At times we'll see fish swimming below, either while looking through an 8-inch hole in the ice, or using technology to watch fish move below on sonar images on a depth finder.  At times we may fish with jigs or spoons, at other times, hooks, bait and a bobber.  We'll often see moose in the woods around town or at the edge of the lake.  Bald eagles often watch from the trees nearby, looking for a free meal.  Relax and enjoy the fishing, we'll take care of all the messy work and heavy lifting – except perhaps lifting the heaviest fish of the day from the water!
