Magnificent Wadi

Our jeep tours allow you to visit the most sites in the least amount of time as well as reach some of the far-away attractions inside Wadi Rum Protected Area. Even on our short tours, you get a good taste of our magnificent desert with its rocks, dunes, canyons, and big mountains. If you want to see the sunset, we can start the tour in the afternoon. You will be told historic meanings at some of the sites, and are highly welcome to ask questions about Bedouin life and culture. All short tours include stops at Lawrence's house, the big red sand dune, Khazali Canyon and Little Rock Arch. Depending on the option you choose, further activities like sandboarding, hikes, or camel rides might be included. Light lunch can be added after arrival for 5JD per person, and cooked lunch of chicken and rice for 10JD per person.

Moreover, the full-day tour will also allow you to enjoy magnificent views of the desert all throughout the day, while riding on top of a jeep (comfortable benches and sunshades installed), have lunch in the desert at a nice picturesque spot. In the evening, we either stop on the way to watch a beautiful desert sunset, or you can watch it from our Bedouin camp where you will stay for the night. At the camp, you will see how we prepare our traditional food under the Earth, which will be part of a huge dinner buffet. Afterwards, you can relax around the fire where you can share conversations, ask us questions about our culture or the desert, and listen to Bedouin music we play for you on the oud (and maybe even dancing!). Later enjoy the silence and watch the stars. After a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning, we will take you back to the village.

We leave Muscat in the morning and make our way to the wadi. We make a short stop at the Bamah sinkhole where most like to take photos or swim in the lake. We make our way through Fins Beach, a long white-sand beach photo stop, and then arrive at Wadi Shab.

It has a big history since it was founded during the Pharaonic time and had a special importance in the Ptolemaic period. It used to be a famous spot for fishing as its huge lake "Qaron" was very rich with different kinds of fish. Fayoum has a combined nature between the green scenery and being an agricultural city , the biggest waterfalls which are rare to be seen in Egypt , the magnificent desert ,the colorful mountains and the unique valley of wales known as " Wadi El Hitan" with fossils from minimum 40 million years ago.
