An island tour with Sheena or her brothers around Mahé is a real MUST. You can see how beautiful Mahé is and that the main island of the Seychelles doesn't have to hide from any of the other islands (Praslin & La Digue). The sights / access points mentioned are options, not all can be seen in 5-6 hours, you can choose what you would like to see or tell us what exactly you would like to see. But no worries, In reality, you will see a lot on the Mahé island tour than we can describe. Culture, country, beaches, people & history. There is always the possibility on the tour (optional) to buy drinks, have lunch, snacks & takeaways or visit a toilet or make an extra hour/hours with 25 € each hour. The tour includes a visit of the capital Victoria, and the Sir Selwyn Selwyn Clarke Market. Island Exploration offers clients customised tours according to their interests and requirements. Other activities such as trail hiking or garden visits can also be included into the tour. The guide will provide draft itenaries to clients according to their interests, time constraint and budget. The guide will also suggest restaurants or alternatives according to client's wishes.

On this tour, clients will have the opportunity to discover the Seychelles by visiting some beautiful beaches, the main local market and get an insight of Seychelles' history, geography, culture amongst other topics that will be explained by the tour guide. The tour will be conducted by a licensed local tour guide. The tour can be customised according to the clients wishes in discussion with the guide.

Not everyone who travels to the Seychelles has had the opportunity to visit the Rock Pool. It is not so easy to find, but we will guide you there. The Rock Pool is unique and the hike there is easy to do. It is a pleasant tour because you will already see a lot of Mahé on the way there and it can ideally be seen as a half-day tour. The hike takes about an hour there and an hour back. We spend up to about an hour at the pool. If the weather is good and the sea is shallow, you can jump into the pool (approx. 3-4 meters high, depending on the water level approx. 10 meters deep. You can also swim, bathe or simply relax in the pool. You also have the possibility (optional costs) to eat something in the region later, the whole thing is really very relaxed and also suitable for children from the age of 5. We have certainly walked this tour to Anse Major over 1000 times in the last 10 years and we are still fascinated by this beautiful hike to this day. In terms of outdoor activities on Mahé, this hike, which can also be described as a walk, is a highlight in the Seychelles. The guided tour to Anse Major is easy to do and can also be done in bad weather. You have a great view of various bays & the northwest of Mahé. The green nature in the jungle to be crossed is safe. Children aged 5 and over will also be thrilled, as there is so much to see and discover. We may even see a real flying fox up close and feed it. Anse Major is not accessible by car, you have to make a little effort, but you will be exceptionally rewarded. The way back can be done by Taxi boat at an optional cost.
