In the heart of the old Jewish neighbourhood stands the Portuguese Synagogue. The biggest synagogue in the world when it was built in the 17th century. Jews still worship here to this day, but whenever this wonderful building isn’t being used for services it’s open for you to visit. Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re Jewish or not. A visit to the Portuguese Synagogue is a breathtaking experience. Everything has been kept just as it was in the 17th century. Instead of electric lights, the synagogue is lit by hundreds of candles.

Learning about the art of cooking the portuguese divine pastry called "OVOS MOLES", a tradition with 500 years old created inside the convents in the 16th century. This pastry is very rich, there are dozens of recipes from north to south of Portugal like Pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart), Toucinho do céu, Encharcada, Ovos moles de Aveiro, Pudim abade de priscos, and more! It´s a hands-on class: .The program – Cooking 2 recipes: Pastel de nata + Travesseiro de Sintra). First we cook it and in the end we taste it!
