Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Beng Mealea, 40 km east of Angkor Wat Cambodia
Beng Mealea is about 60km away from Siem Reap. It’s takes about an hour and a half to driver there. Because of the location of the temple, it isn’t as busy as the other temples at Angkor Wat. This is one of the reasons why we love visiting Beng Mealea, because you’re not surrounded by thousands of other tourists. The surrounding thick forest also makes it a unique place to visit. It’s generally pretty cool all year round and you can take your time exploring the ruins of Beng Mealea. After exploring the temple, we’ll stop for lunch in a local restaurant.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Kampong Phluk Floating Village, Siem Reap Cambodia
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Kampong Phluk Floating Village ( Or Meychrey from March to June). There are around 700 Khmer families living here. In the dry season, the houses sit about 6 to 8 metres above the ground. In the wet season when the Tonle Sap floods, they are just a metre above the water level. You will also explore the flooded forest.
