We will visit the Seaside Museum & History Center to learn more about the local history exhibits and artifacts. We'll also check out the Lewis & Clark Salt Works, Cove, and Sailors' Grave. Our next stop will be the Tillamook Head National Recreation Trail, leading to the Indian Beach Trailhead. We can explore Seaside Broadway, the Promenade, and the Visitors Center for more information about passes, activities, and volunteer opportunities. Afterward, we'll drive to Cannon Beach to explore the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum, Haystack Rock, and Ecola State Park. Throughout our trip, we'll highlight various activities such as crafts, arcades, theatre, eateries, hiking trails, and safe places to watch King Tides.

The Oregon Coast is an experience like no other and our guides have selected a quieter, slower approach to the day: a visit to Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach; hikes through old-growth forests to views beyond what the common tourist sees; up-close encounters with the iconic monoliths that make the Oregon Coast so unusual; a lunch stop in a sweet beach town; recommendations for our favorite cinnamon rolls, pie or ice cream; sand (if you want it) between your toes. Day tours can feel long but ours feels more like a just-right exploration with plenty of time to sit however you like with the majesty of the ocean — or spend most of your time wandering in the forest as you listen to waves crash beneath you. If you choose to walk with us in the forest, your day will include some short but steep low-elevation incline hiking.

In this land, emperors, peasants, shepherds, woodsmen, together with the climate, have made the landscape and its culture unique. On the way we will meet stupendous farmhouses, we will cross oak woods, along the ancient sheep tracks of transhumance we will discover jazzi and post offices, we will travel along panoramic mule tracks and among the wheat fields we will admire large haystacks and ancient cisterns. On the hills, flocks of sheep will blend in with the characteristic sharp rocks that give this area its name. We will reach the octagonal stone crown isolated on a hill at 540 meters above sea level. from where a vast panorama is dominated.

His grandfather first moved the family to Pacific City in 1971 to commercial dory fish for salmon. His work history in the tourism field is extensive. Working in Skagway, Alaska, responsible for the transport of up to 50 guests, taking them from the docks, through congested mountain roads, to the interior of the Yukon, Canada. He did this in a 45-foot MCI motor coach and earned a CDL along the way. He’s been a courtesy driver at several establishments ranging from White Elephant Hotel in Nantucket, MA, St. Regis in Park City, UT, and the Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, CO. His rich, local family history, combined with his extensive background leading tours, makes him an ideal guide.
