On this 3-hour tour, you'll get a broad overview of the Central City. We'll make stops at Pittock Mansion and the International Rose Test Gardens. The Oregon Coast is an experience like no other and our guides have selected a quieter, slower approach to the day: a visit to Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach; hikes through old-growth forests to views beyond what the common tourist sees; up-close encounters with the iconic monoliths that make the Oregon Coast so unusual; a lunch stop in a sweet beach town; recommendations for our favorite cinnamon rolls, pie or ice cream; sand (if you want it) between your toes. Day tours can feel long but ours feels more like a just-right exploration with plenty of time to sit however you like with the majesty of the ocean — or spend most of your time wandering in the forest as you listen to waves crash beneath you. If you choose to walk with us in the forest, your day will include some short but steep low-elevation incline hiking.

This Tour is private and customizable. The price includes 5 hours of Tour time. Your guide Charlie is a third-generation Oregonian living in Pacific City. His grandfather first moved the family to Pacific City in 1971 to commercial dory fish for salmon. His work history in the tourism field is extensive. Working in Skagway, Alaska, responsible for the transport of up to 50 guests, taking them from the docks, through congested mountain roads, to the interior of the Yukon, Canada. He did this in a 45-foot MCI motor coach and earned a CDL along the way. He’s been a courtesy driver at several establishments ranging from White Elephant Hotel in Nantucket, MA, St. Regis in Park City, UT, and the Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, CO. His rich, local family history, combined with his extensive background leading tours, makes him an ideal guide. Paired with his enjoyable personality and outgoing manner, guests are sure to have an unforgettable time on the Oregon Coast.

The Oregon coast is one of the most majestic geologic formations that was formed by lava flows millions of years ago. We depart to the coast and have lunch in the charming town of Cannon Beach and do hiking and exploring on the coast. Explore the majestic Oregon coast, view the amazing Haystack Rock formation, and during low tide gaze at starfish and clams. We will also explore Oswald State Park for lite trail walking and see the stunning cliffs of Manzanita point. This is a joinable small group tour for 2 persons or more, door to door service. Please dress for the season, expect a full day beginning 10am and back to Portland by 6pm.

This day trip is a tour along a section of rugged coastline along Oregon's northern coast. There will be one or two town stops, and multiple stops at headlands and beaches. The trip will include a short hike through oldgrowth Sitka spruce forest, beach time, tide pools (if tides allow), sea stacks, viewpoint stops, and a lunch stop in a charming coastal town. If group interest allows, stops with a more technological history focus may be made, such as the Tillamook Air Museum and/or Tillamook Cheese Factory.

This day trip is a customized tour along a section of rugged coastline along Oregon's northern coast. There will be one or two town stops, and multiple stops at headlands and beaches. After your pickup in Portland, we'll discuss the interests of people in the group, and your guide will customize the itinerary to those interests. – Please be prepared for whatever the weather may be when your tour runs (e.g. rain gear, sunglasses, hat, extra layers, sunscreen). – Wear shoes that you don't mind getting sandy and wet.

The kayaks are hand made and each takes over 500 hours of craftsmanship to make. So our guests are able to paddle a beautiful wooden kayak during their tour session. Similar feel to driving a classic car down the road. A classic or a non classic will both get you there, but sometimes its about the ride experience and that's what is unique here.
