Our client's teacher, Kengo is a skilled Kendo player who started Kendo at the age of 3 and won 3rd place in the Japan tournament. I am very confident in my Kendo skills and knowledge. You can learn about the culture of the Samurai through this experience. The main event of the experience is cutting tatami mats using a Japanese sword. Please rest assured that Kengo will provide careful guidance. We will also be happy to help with video and photo shoots.

This tour allows you to experience the excellence of kendo, a traditional Japanese martial art. You will wear hakama and swing a shinai like a samurai. You can also experience the tension of a match with other participants. This experience will teach you swordsmanship, courtesy, and the spirit of Bushido. You wear protective gear and use shinai (bamboo swords), so it is very safe. Why don't you experience the ancient samurai culture of Japan firsthand? It's not a private activity.

Tomoyoshi, the instructor, will give you a short lecture on how the ancient swordsmanship of Samurai developed into Kendo. He will share the heroic stories of ancient Samurai including his great-grandfather, Yoshishige Hayashi. He will also share the controversial influence of Bushido values on this nation and his family into extremism, especially during the period of WW2. He will end his story on how redemption came and led him to the current inner peace and the life of a pacifist. After the lecture, you will wear the full Kendo armor and learn the basic Kendo movements. In the end, you will get to do a Kendo match with each other. You will experience the spirit and karma of Iai Heiho, an ancient martial art that has been handed down for over 500 years since the Muromachi Period, in a fun and safe way. The sword used is a mock sword. Kimonos and hakama are available for those who wish to wear them. However, there are size and quantity restrictions. Yari (spear) and naginata (halberd) are also available. The instructor has 37 years of martial arts training and 30 years of teaching experience. He currently holds the rank of Hanshi 8-dan. He strives to teach in an easy-to-understand and polite manner. The content of the experience includes an introduction to the Japanese sword and other weapons, etiquette, sword handling and swinging, and learning basic kendo.
