From our meeting point of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, we’ll ride the subway over to this very local, multicultural neighborhood. Here, you’ll sample one of our favorite local treats: krapfen, which is a jam-filled doughnut sprinkled with sugar. These pastries are popular year-round, but especially so leading up to Lent. Next, take the subway to the 4th district, to visit a little-known coffee house. This place may not be famous, but its Austrian cakes and strudels are absolutely delicious. Our tour begins in the Williamsburg neighborhood at Doughnut Plant, one of the best donut shops in Brooklyn. Here we’ll try some of their amazing donuts, featured above. After that, we’ll take a leisurely walk through McCarren Park. We’ll then continue our way to some more amazing donut shops in Greenpoint. We’ll end our tour at one of the oldest and best donut shops in Brooklyn. At each location, we'll sample several different types, flavors and styles of donuts, so come hungry!
