The Khmer Rouge turned Toul Sleng High School into a center for interrogation, torture and death. Thousands of photo of victims can be seen in each room. You will walk slowly and investigate the materials used for interrogation of prisoners. After that we travel about 15km toward southwest of Phnom Penh we will arrive at Choeung Ek. The memorial at Choeung Ek just outside Phnom Penh was an orchard! And a Chinese cemetery prior to 1975. During the Khmer Rouge regime, it became one of the killing fields the site of the brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison. Choeung Ek is now a group of mass graves and a memorial stupa containing thousands of skulls. Come back to hotel and drop off.

It was served as as the capital of Indravaraman I (reigned 877-89). Preah Ko, the 9th century temple, built to dedicate the King's ancestors. Beng Mealea Temple and Rolous Group
Beng Mealea was built as a Hindu temple, but some carvings depict Buddhist motifs. Its primary material is sandstone and it is largely unrestored, with trees and thick brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards and many of its stones lying in great heaps. For years it was difficult to reach, but a road recently built to the temple complex of Koh Ker passes Beng Mealea and more visitors are coming to the site, as it is 77 km from Siem Reap by road.
Rolous Group Temples plus lunch with Sunset Tour
We visit three temples at what is today called Roluos. The site used to be the capital city of the Khmer Empire before it was moved briefly to Koh Ker and then permanently to Angkor Thom. Lolei is the northernmost temples situated inside the Roluos Group which were built in the late 9th century. All of the temples, Lolei, Preah Ko, and Bakong were Buddhist temples. In Preah Ko, you can see the 3 towers with stone lions and intricate carvings. After lunch, we'll visit a local village and market. You can see how the locals go about their everyday business and stop to look around a market where you can buy cheap gifts for your loved ones. We'll then head over to Bakheng Mountain which was established in the early 10th century to see the wonderful view over Angkor Wat.
