Cycle on the Ancient Appian Way with an electric-assist bike with your guide. Marvel at Roman ruins such as the Aurelian Walls, the Circus of Maxentius, and the Tomb of Caecilia Metella. Delve deep into the 2nd-century San Callisto or San Sebastiano catacombs (only in the 6-hour version of the tour) to learn of Roman burial traditions and enjoy personal attention from your guide on this small-group tour, limited to 10 people. You'll be met at the vineyard with snacks and a house wine ready to start the tour immediately. First, you'll have a walking tour of the vines to see stunning views of the Roman countryside. At the farmhouse, you will try 3 amazing local wines from the winery next door along with local snacks and salumi. At the end, you'll also have coffee and a local liquor to finish your tasting. The location of our farmhouse makes it accessible directly from the train station without the need for other transportation. Because we are reachable by train (and a 5-minute walk) it's the most sustainable wine tour in the area. On Sundays it will be necessary to come by car as there is a very limited train schedule on this day.

Our 20 mile (32 km) Bridges bike tour follows the picturesque shores of the Firth Of Forth. Spello, Roman mosaics and Renaissance masterpieces – Private Tour


Spello, known as one of the most beautiful town in Italy thanks to its wonderful medieval buildings made of pink limestone and colorful flowers, dominates the amazing Umbrian Valley from the slopes of Mount Subasio. Particularly beautiful are the remains of the Ancient Roman city, called “Splendidissima Colonia Julia” (“Most Beautiful Julia Colony”) by Emperor Augustus: imposing walls, majestic city gates and, above all, the Villa of Mosaics, one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the last 20 years. You will visit a wonderful Roman villa, that takes its name from the splendid colorful mosaics that refer to the beautiful Umbrian countryside, depicting wild birds and grape harvest, but also to exotic and fantastic animals, such as panthers and sea monsters. Entering the city through the Roman Porta Consolare (Consular Gate), you will enjoy the fascinating alleys of the medieval Spello and its wonderful churches. In the Church of Sant’Andrea Apostolo you will admire a sixteenth-century masterpiece painted by Pinturicchio, one of the greatest artists of the time, nicknamed “the Little Painter”. This notorious Umbrian artist is also the author of the frescoes of the Baglioni Chapel in the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore: here you will also admire a splendid floor made of Deruta ceramics and the famous self-portrait of Pinturicchio, discovering all the details hidden in his masterpieces! 4-course Dinner in the Roman countryside


Take a break and visit Claudia in her beautiful house in the countryside of Rome for a dinner in her garden. You can collect together products from her garden and cook and eat tasty traditional Italian dishes. You will also try freshly squeezed oil and her white or red wine.


Vegetarian Cooking class in the Roman countryside


A word about the experience: Upon arrival there will be small snacks and a drinks provided, then herbs and vegetables will be collected from the gardens. Aprons will be put on and an entire meal will be prepared together. In three hours, an appetizer will be made and then the pasta, made traditionally with wholemeal flour and semolina eggs or water, entirely by hand with the help of a rolling pin. Stuffed ravioli and fettuccine or lasagna and capellini or strozzapreti, can be prepared on request alongside gnocchi. Different sauces for the pasta will be made too! A second vegetable-based dish will be put together and dessert will conclude the afternoon.
